Easy 15 Minute Setup
The first time you set up your tent, expect it to take about 20 to 25 minutes with two or three people. Once you get the hang of it, though, you should have it up in about 15 minutes with two people.

FAQ
Is the tent good for all seasons?
All of our tents are designed for 4-season use!
That said, our ProTech line features a thicker cotton canvas, superior protection, and sturdier poles, meaning they outlast our Ultimate line in prolonged exposure to the elements.
Better yet, our Apex line boasts our Tentex® C36 technical cotton canvas/tarpaulin for intense use in all weather conditions and seasons.
And don’t be fooled—if you’re taking these tents out in the shoulder seasons or winter, you’ll likely require a tent stove.
And remember, you should never leave your tent unattended for days at a time, especially in inclement weather as ice and snow can build up on the tent and damage the poles and canvas.

What makes this a quality tent?
We only sell the highest quality canvas tents on the market produced by the only tent manufacturer with the Seal of Cotton label. The OG of canvas tents.
Many high-quality features set ours apart; from the heftiness of our zippers (size 10), heavy-duty nickel-plated stakes and poles, the thickness of the canvas and quality of the UV/mold/water resistant treatment, to the method of manufacturing and assembly (double stitching, flat-felled seams). Just to name a few. Together, these features all contribute to the tent’s performance and lifespan.
How long for a newbie to set it up?
The first time you set up your tent, expect it to take about 20 to 25 minutes with two or three people. Once you get the hang of it, though, you should have it up in about 15 minutes with two people.
If I leave it out all year will I get mold?
Cleaning and re-treating your canvas tent regularly will keep your tent looking new by fending off both UV damage and the potential for any mold. We recommend cleaning and re-treating your tent after 6-10 weeks of use; the harsher the environment, the more frequent we recommend cleaning and re-treating.

Can it handle high winds and more extreme weather?
Absolutely! CanvasCamp's Sibley tents have been wind tested and rated. Tests have shown that when the tents are properly pitched, staked, and tensioned, a 400 can withstand winds up to 120 km/h, the 500 up to 95 km/h, and 600 up to 80 km/h. It is recommended that the Sibley 700 and 800 should be taken down in strong wind.
Plus, our heavy-duty stakes & pegs are made from high-quality nickel-plated steel and are specifically built for high wind and hard ground. The pegs are 50% thicker than your run-of-the-mill pegs and hooked-shaped to hold the floor securely in place.
In addition, our spring-loaded poles are made from hardy nickel-plated steel so you can rely on our poles to keep your tent standing tall in blustery winds.
How easy is it to install a stove inside it?
It’s extremely easy to attach your stove and all of our tents are stove-compatible with our modular stove jacks (sold separately). Check out our blog post here for step-by-step instructions.
Is there a warranty?
All of our tents sold as new come with a limited, 1-year warranty with valid proof of purchase against manufacturing defects.
What do I need to make sure my tent lasts for years to come?
Like any other high-quality purchase—like a car or a house—proper maintenance is required (it’s easy, we promise) to maximize the performance and longevity of your tent. Tent care is based upon three principles:
- A well-pitched tent.
- A clean tent.
- A taught tent.
These principles are especially important in any hash conditions – e.g., damp, windy, snowy, etc. – to avoid leaks or damage to the tent. CanvasCamp applies just the right amount of treatment to their tents to simultaneously optimize tent performance and tent breathability (so that you don’t feel ‘sticky’ inside the tent) – it’s a balancing act.
